KMC teachers meet Olympic mentor

Xavier Flores, Vogelweh Elementary School teacher (left photo), and Gariann Wrenchy, Landstuhl Middle School teacher (right photo), meet their “Classroom Champion” mentor Olympic athlete Elana Meyers Taylor Feb. 12 in Igls, Austria. Meyers is competing in the bobsled world championships Feb. 12 and 13. Flores, Wrenchy and Rich Dysinger, Ramstein Intermediate School teacher (not pictured), are participating in and piloting the Classroom Champions program for Department of Defense Education Activity. The Classroom Champions program connects students with athletes who teach them about goal setting, perseverance and how to dream big.
