Local scout wins highest achievement

Britni, a senior at Kaiserslautern American High School, is a member of the Sembach Girl Scouts. She won the award, given for completion of several interest patches, a variety of community service projects and a variety of leadership experiences, for her project, “International Thanksgiving” in November. Britni invited French Scouts over for an American-style holiday meal. And, the group even played football after dinner.

“By having them over, they experienced the American culture first hand, rather than through mass media,” said Britni, who has been a Girl Scout for 14 years.
The project took three months to plan. Britni was honored in a ceremony March 10.
