On 4 May 2019 @ 1000 Kapaun Park there will be a March of Dimes, March for Babies 5K run/walk/bike/skate. The event is to raise money to expand programs and educate medical professionals to make sure that moms and babies get the best possible care. March with us to lead the fight for the health of all moms and babies. Because when a society supports every family, we all win. When we come together, even the toughest problems can be solved. Cinco de Mayo at Armstrong’s Club: Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Armstrong’s Club. Family and MWR Community Expo: Military Spouse Appreciation: On May 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., spend your lunch hour with Family and MWR celebrating military spouses, the heart of our community!  Meet representatives from Family and MWR programs and our community partners and learn about the programs and services available to you in our military community. Enjoy cake, giveaways, and several chances to win great prizes, including the grand prize of $1,000 in European Travel through Army Outdoor Recreation. Concert on the Lawn: Enjoy the longer days and beautiful weather with an unforgettable evening with your friends and family. Head over to Pulaski Park with your picnic blankets and lawn chairs May 11 at 4 p.m. for family-friendly activities, bouncy castles, kiddie train, face painting and more along with food and beverage sales. KMC OnStage Presents Freckleface Strawberry: Bring the whole family out to enjoy the musical that is based on the cherished New York Times best-selling book by Julianne Moore. With the help of her lovable classmates who range from everything from a talented ballerina, the class ditz, even the cute jock boy, Freckleface learns that everyone has their unique thing and that is what makes everyone special. Performances are scheduled for May 24, 25, 31 and June 1, 7, 8 at 7 p.m. May 26 and June 2, 9 at 1 p.m. All performances will he held at the KMC OnStage Theater on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 2100. Women’s World Cup Soccer at Halftime Sports Bar & Wings: Join your friends at Halftime Sports Bar & Wings for the eighth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France. Asperger’s are Us at Halftime Sports Bar & Wings: On June 7 from 6:30-7:30 p.m., the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) brings the stars of a hit Netflix documentary to Halftime Sports Bar & Wings for a free comedy show! Asperger’s Are Us is the world’s first comedy troupe comprised entirely of men on the autism spectrum.  In addition to being hilarious, their unique performances highlight the value of neurodiversity – people who have different ways of thinking and processing the world, and in this case, different ways of making us laugh. This event is open to all community members however, humor may not be appropriate for children under 16 years of age. Mother’s Day Balloon Flowers & Balloon Flower Bouquets: Balloon flowers and balloon flower bouquets can be ordered from the Arts & Crafts Center for a unique Mother’s Day gift. Choose a single flower or from a variety of balloon flower bouquets. Customers may pre-order balloons, balloon bouquets and have them delivered on Mother’s Day. Orders must be placed by May 7 for delivery. Deliveries will be made between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and can only be made to housing units on Smith Barracks and Wetzel Kaserne.
