» The Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Holiday Bazaar will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Special Events Center on Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Bldg. 237. This is the perfect opportunity to get your shopping finished before the holidays. » A German-American Day ceremony, hosted by the Atlantic Academy Kaiserslautern, Docu Center Ramstein and German-American and International Women’s Club, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Zehntenscheune, Kirchenstrasse 1 in Landstuhl. The celebration is in remembrance of Oct. 6, 1683, when 13 German families arrived near Philadelphia and founded Germantown. It honors the contributions of German immigrants to the development of America and highlights the relationships of German citizens and U.S. military members in the region.

» KMC Onstage presents “The Addams Family Musical”: 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Advance ticket reservations are recommended.

» KMC Onstage presents “ART”: 7 p.m. Nov. 18, 19 and Dec. 3, and 3 p.m. Nov. 20 and Dec. 4. This comedy is for mature audiences only. Drinks will be available for purchase. The show will be performed at the Kaiserslautern Community Activity Center on Daenner Kaserne, Bldg. 3109. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance through KMC Onstage.

» Open auditions for “Legally Blonde: The Musical” will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 28 and 29. This fun show is based on the novel and film of the same name. A large cast of males and females ages 16 and older is needed. Come prepared to do a cold read and perform a song for the directors. No registration required.

Armstrong’s Club Events

» Pajama Party: 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Nov. 12. Party in your pajamas! The “Best PJs” will win a $100 cash prize.

» Thanksgiving Day Feast: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 24. Celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends. Enjoy traditional roast turkey, seafood, salads, side dishes and desserts. The feast will have open seating; make reservations for groups of six or more. Cost: $21.95 for adults, $12.95 for children ages 7 to 12 years old and free for children under 6 years old.

Classes and Training

» A cooking class offered by the the German-American and International Women’s Club will take place at 4:30 p.m. today at the school in Miesau on Roemerstrasse. Enter through the side entrance. Participants will cook a traditional German holiday meal, including pumpkin soup, sauerbraten with dumplings and red cabbage, and a dessert. » Commanders and Senior Leaders Training will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday. This training is a mandatory requirement within 45 days of assumption of command for all commanders and senior enlisted advisors E-7 through E-9. Receive information on the Family Advocacy Program, the Army Emergency Relief Program and how these programs can benefit Soldiers and their families. Advance registration is required.
