Medieval fest on castle shows living in Middle Ages

The village of Lemberg has a Medieval Spectacular Saturday to Monday. There will be examples of medieval living and handiwork, a market, musicians, knight battles, a nail and glass walker, fire breathers, storytellers, fools, games for the kids and plenty of food and drink. A medieval fire show will be presented after dark on Saturday and Sunday.
The fest grounds open at noon Saturday with the official opening ceremony taking place at 4 p.m. Sunday and Monday, the grounds open at 11 a.m. The fest runs until midnight Saturday and Sunday, and closes at 6 p.m. Monday. The entry fee is 3 EUR per person per day, and kids under 150 centimeters (59 inches) get in free. Parking is also free.
Lemberg is located approximately 15 kilometers southeast of Pirmasens. From Ramstein, take the autobahn A62 south to the Pirmasens exit. Follow the federal street B10 towards Landau for about 10 km until you come to the Lemberg exit. Take a right at the bottom of the ramp and a left at the first stop sign you come to. Then, follow the signs into Lemberg and to the castle ruins where the fest is being held. For more information, call 06331-40264.
