Construction on Ramstein’s East Gate barriers will continue from Saturday until Oct. 3. This is necessary to address some construction deficiencies that occurred in the initial installation process.
The East Gate will be used for both inbound and outbound traffic Saturday and Sunday. Beginning Monday, the East Gate will be for inbound traffic only. During this period, the Harmon Gate will be reopened for traffic exiting the base.
The intersection at Lawn and Harmon will become a temporary priority road intersection, with the traffic on Lawn yielding to the traffic on Harmon. Obey all temporary road markings and construction signage. Your patience is appreciated.
First sergeants’ corner
Designer handbags have been gaining popularity. There are guidelines that need to be administered for shoulder handbags while wearing a uniform.
The handbag must be plain black leather or vinyl without ornamentation, with or without a plain fold-over flap, and with or without a single silver or gold-colored clasp. They may have up to two adjustable shoulder straps with or without buckles. They also may be patent leather or high gloss not to exceed 13 x 9 x 4.5 inches deep.
