Seven of the KMC’s private organizations have teamed up to present Team Ramstein with Oktober Fun Fest. On Oct. 21, Oktober Fun Fest will
provide the logistics for many different events for Airmen to compete in throughout the day.

“Airmen are able to choose from several different individual and team events to participate in,” said Senior Master Sgt. JoAnne Bass, KMC Top 3 president. “From bowling to paintball, to obstacle course or amazing race, we’ve got them covered.”

The day will kick off with a five-kilometer fun run at 7:30 a.m. and end with an awards presentation at 3 p.m.

“Uniform of the day is the Air Force personal training uniform for the wing run,” said Senior Master Sgt. Joel Steele, Oktober “Fun” Fest lead. “For all other events, members will represent their units and should dress appropriately.”

KMC Top 3, KMC 5/6, 1st Four, Air Force Sergeants Association, the 1st Sgt.’s Council, Ramsteins Chiefs Group and the African-American Heritage Committee designed a concept and coordinated with 86th Airlift Wing leadership, 521st Air Mobility Operations Wing leadership and 435th Air Ground Operations Wing leadership to make Oktober Fun Fest a way for Team Ramstein to take a quick break from their everyday duties.

“86th AW, 521st AMOW, and 435th AGOW leadership embraced the event concept and have been highly supportive throughout the planning process,” Steele said.
“We thought this would be a way for Team Ramstein to take a break from the blistering operations tempo and join together for fun, food and friendly competition,” Bass said.

Sign up for events at the KMC Top 3 Sharepoint site. AFSA is scheduled to grill brats and schwanks for lunch. Tickets must be purchased in advance from unit First Sergeants.
