Overfilled waste cans will not be emptied

Attention off-base residents, this photo depicts waste cans that will not be emptied due to overfilling. Bins must be placed curbside with closed lids for garbage trucks to collect and empty. Bins that are overfilled or too heavy will not be emptied. If you have excess trash, you can purchase specific waste bags from your local county offices or from the municipal administration office, Kreisverwaltung Kaiserslautern, Burgstr. 11, 67659 Kaiserslautern. In June, this office will move to Lauterstr. 8. Cost per bag is 3 euro. Bags should be placed next to garbage cans no later than 6 p.m. at day of pick up. Commercial plastic bags will not be picked up.
