The German-American and International Women’s Club Kaiserslautern will hold its traditional 50th Pfennig Bazaar March 4 to 6 in the event hall of the Kaiserslautern Garden Show.

“We are proud of being able to celebrate 50 years of Pfennig Bazaar,” said club member Brigitte Mees. “After the bazaar took place in Hohenecken last year, we are happy to be close to Kaiserslautern’s center again. The Gartenschau event hall is easy to reach for customers.”

The Pfennig Bazaar is the club’s biggest fundraiser. Profits will be donated to local charity organizations and support German and American exchange student programs.

The women’s club is looking for items in good condition such as clean clothing, shoes, tablecloths, bed linens, household items, small working electrical appliances, toys, books, and more. Large furniture, mattresses, skis/ski shoes and other large size items will not be accepted.

“We are asking the community to please donate items to help us make the bazaar a success so we will be able to support numerous charity and youth projects,” said Mrs. Mees.

Donations can be dropped off 4 to 8 p.m. March and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 2 at the back entrance of the event hall on Forellenstrasse.
The shopping dates and hours are 1 to 7 p.m. March 4, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 5, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 6. For more information, visit the club’s Web site at www.gaiwc.com.
