Four Ramstein American High School students were commended for their outstanding achievement and honorary recognition as 2007 National Merit Scholarship Awardees Oct. 11.

Caitlin Newcomb, Timothy Bishop, Eric Mosley and Phillip  Southard received letters of commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation by Gregory Hatch, RAHS principal.

“You’re in an elite group among millions,” Mr. Hatch told the students. “Retain these certificates for college applications; they will be valuable.”
Students who received the letters placed among the top five percent of more than 1.4 million students who entered the 2007 competition by taking the 2005 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
