Ramstein Bazaar needs volunteers

Here’s a great opportunity for you, your spouse and dependents (16 and over) to help our entire KMC.

Each year, the 435th Services Squadron sponsors the Annual Ramstein Welfare Bazaar. For more than four decades, the KMC has benefited from the Ramstein Bazaar. This annual event began in 1965 and has grown into one of the largest military bazaars in Europe. The Bazaar is produced by the Ramstein Officers’ Spouses Club. All the proceeds from this four-day event are returned to the military community in the form of scholarships, welfare grants and charitable donations.

The ROSC is looking for volunteers for the 2008 Ramstein Bazaar, which takes place Sept. 18 to 21 at Ramstein. Visit www.ramstein-bazaar.org for more details.
The Bazaar is not possible without the dedicated volunteers who work every aspect. Help is needed in the following areas:

• Donating baked goods for the Bazaar Hospitality Suite
• Business Office: assisting with vendor check-in, sales sheet collection and totaling
• Finance Office: adding and verifying checks and cash from vendor deposits, and running the credit card sales machines
• Hospitality: keeping coffee, drinks and snacks available for vendors and volunteers
• Helping with the raffle station, collecting and selling tickets throughout the day
• Volunteer Booth: assisting other volunteers with check-in and assignments and collecting baked goods Volunteering is easy.

Download the volunteer form at www.ramstein-bazaar.org/docs/Volunteer_Application2008draft.doc and send it to volunteer@ramstein-bazaar.org

For each four-hour shift or 10 dozen baked goods you donate to the Hospitality Suite, you are eligible for VIP shopping before the bazaar opens from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 18 and you may enter the “Volunteer Appreciation Raffle.”
