The 86th Airlift Wing conducted Operation Varsity 23-3, a mission assurance exercise, at Ramstein Air Base, Aug. 14-18. Mission assurance exercises test the wing’s ability to respond to emergency situations such as aircraft accidents, active shooter scenarios, and extreme weather events.
