Ramstein’s used car sales “lemon lot” will no longer reside in the Northside Post Office parking lot after the month of April.

The location of the lot is being switched, due to a scheduled construction project by civil engineering. The new lot will be behind the Service Credit Union, Bldg. 2410, on Ramstein.

Anyone who currently has a car on the lemon lot must move his or her car by May 1 or it will be towed at the expense of the owner.
The lemon lot is a service run through Outdoor Recreation and the 435th Services Squadron.

“It’s a great service to the community and a good way to sell your vehicle quickly in a safe area,” said Carol Cox, Outdoor Recreation director.
Interested car buyers can start looking for vehicles at the new location during the last week of April.

One benefit of the new location is that it is in a high visibility area, said Mrs. Cox.

People who are interested in advertising a car on the lot only need to contact Outdoor Rec and get their car registered.

Registration fees are eight dollars for two weeks and $16 for a month. Anyone who advertises a vehicle on the lot without registering will be fined or towed.

Outdoor Recreation can be reached at 480-2227 for more information.
