Shaving heads for St. Baldrick’s

The foundation hosted a volunteer charity event in which 117 military members, civilians and dependents in the KMC sheared their locks in support of raising awareness and money to bring hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting the war on cancer. The St. Baldrick’s head-shaving events began as a challenge between businessmen and has grown from one event in 2000 to more than 1,290 events in 2012. This year’s event rose 11,500 in donations, surpassing the goal of 10,000. Team PMEL was the largest contributor by donating more than 4,500 for the charity event.
