Volleyball Officials Clinic & Practicum Tournament

If you are interested in being certified or re-certifying as a volleyball official come out to the Officials Clinic & Practium Tournament Tuesday to Jan. 27. Clinic takes place Tuesday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, at the Baumholder Education Center, Bldg. 8332. The Practicum Tournament is on Jan. 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Baumholder Hall of Champions, Bldg. 8105. Both clinic & tournament are open to ID cardholders, ages 18 and older. And no registration fee is required! There is no limit to the number of people who can register for the clinic, but the tournament is limited to the first six teams who sign up. Youth soccer

U.S. Youth Soccer KMC District Soccer will offer to experience soccer in the German Football Association (DFB). They are offering opportunities for boys and girls, 5 to 19 years old, and a men’s team. Players will train with professional and licensed coaches. The 10-month season consists of competitive league play, international camps and tournaments. Matches will not conflict with American holidays. This U.S. Youth Soccer affiliation allows for even more training opportunities, like the Olympic Developmental program. Facilities and fields are in Schwedelbach. The FV Olympia Ramstein Soccer Club is looking for male and female players born in 2003/2004. Soccer for girls

The Kottweiler-Schwanden Sports Club is looking for girls born in the years 2005 up to 2008 for its youngest girl’s soccer team. The sports club has three girl’s teams and two women’s teams. They are also looking for new players. This is the opportunity to get involved in a German soccer club playing with German and American girls. Coaches are all able to speak English. Start Smart Baseball & Soccer Registration

Start Smart Baseball & Soccer Registration kicks off on Feb. 1. Start Smart is not a traditional team sports program, but rather a developmental program to introduce young children to sports. While it is led by a CYS staff member, the program encourages lots of interaction between parent and child. For ages 3-4. Registration is open until Feb. 28 or until spaces are filled. Soccer Lessons

Soccer is offered year round indoor soccer arena from November to May. The coaches training with the kids are professional soccer coaches who have trained and played for years. Their training will be packed with soccer drills, soccer skills, soccer conditioning and fitness development. Youth will develop basic and fundamental soccer skills that all players need as well as tactic, formations and much more. The goal is to assist youth soccer players to achieve their playing potential through proper skills, fitness and conditioning development. Focus is on having fun and learning about soccer. Unit Level Basketball Championships

The 2018 Unit Level Basketball Championships are scheduled for Feb. 26, 27, and 28, and March 1. The top six teams from regular season league play will compete in the championship. The first and second place teams from this championship will then advance to the IMCOM-Europe tournament. Games will be held at Kleber Fitness Center, Kleber Kaserene, Bldg. 3235 from 6 to 9 p.m. Final championship game is March 1 at 6 p.m. Awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, along with 1st and 2nd individual and MVP. Get your game on! Outdoor Recreation offers Disc Golf at Pulaski Park. Grab a team, pick up a Frisbee and take advantage of this interactive flying disc game that requires precision and accuracy. Twilight Basketball

USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Sports and Fitness offers twilight basketball games every other Friday night from 9 to 11 p.m. at Vogelweh Gym in Kaiserslautern. These games are open to all CAC holders.
