Kaiserslautern begins its park concerts Sunday in Volkspark (the duck pond at the corner of Donnersberger and Entersweiler Strasse). Various music bands perform a total of nine concerts throughout mid-September in the blue music pavilion next to the pond. The Schneckenhausen Music Association starts with jazz, funk, marching and classical music, traditional and modern sounds, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free. A bistro in Volkspark will serve snacks and beverages. Next to the music pavilion is an adventure playground for the children. The Trippstadt Music Association is scheduled to present the second concert on June 7.

Schönborn, in the Donnersberg area (west of Rockenhausen), offers its “Adventure Trip Moscheltal” 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The event features craftsmanship presentations, children’s activities, musical and dance performances. Vendors sell arts and crafts as well as food specialities and wines.
