Zweibruecken city center will be the stage for a two-day street-theater spectacle Saturday and Sunday. The official opening will be at 10 a.m. Saturday on Alexanderplatz with musical performances, percussion demonstrations, magician shows and walking acts consisting of fantasy figures.

The band Swing Collection will entertain the audience with renowned melodies from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the musical stage, and an Elvis imitator will perform Elvis Presley songs from 8 to 10 p.m.

More street theater with walking acts such as the fishers on stilts, the crazy firemen, giant puppets, the Jazz Polizei, Mr. Ice Cream, acrobats and other funny and bizarre creatures will take place starting at 11 a.m. Sunday. The big finale with all performers will be at 6 p.m. on Alexanderplatz.

Also on Sunday, besides performances in the streets, the event features a flower market with flowers, balcony and indoor plants, and accessories on Herzogplatz.

Bread, wurst, meat, vegetables, fruit and regional specialties will be sold at the farmers market, and arts and ceramics to decorate homes and backyards will be displayed in the walking area. A large variety of books for young and old will be offered at the books market in Herzogstrasse.

The local forest school will educate children about animals of the region, and first responders will help children cross a creek. A magician will present his magical skills at 2:30 p.m. on Herzogplatz.
