up stakes and heading for the metropolis as he decides what to do as a
retiree.

That is why Hagen Volke, the cultural adaptation liaison officer with
the Ramstein Airman & Family Readiness Center, has taken it upon
himself to develop programs that make the transition easier for military
members and their families.

USAFE honors Airmen on Memorial Day
The U.S. Air Forces in Europe commander thanked the French men and women
for everything they have done for the young Americans who fought and
died in their country, defending the cause of freedom, during a Memorial
Day ceremony May 28 at the Lafayette Escadrille Memorial outside of
Paris, France.

Pikes survive 35-34
Behind another 300 yard rushing game by Tech. Sgt. Eric Walton, the
Kaiserslautern Pikes survived an offensive shootout against the
Albershausen Crusaders, 35-34. The Crusaders had an opportunity to take
the lead with two minutes left, but the go-ahead field goal hooked left,
which allowed the Pikes to run out the clock and move to 4-0.
