Pumpkin display at Gartenschau
This year’s pumpkin display at the Kaiserslautern Gartenschau runs now through 
Oct. 31 under the motto “Royal.” Statues made of numerous and different kinds of pumpkins show the king of the thieves, Robin Hood, King Elvis, Frog King, a queen bee and more. Landstuhl will celebrate its 28th annual city fest today through Sunday. The traditional event, sponsored by the sales promotion association of the city of Landstuhl, will feature a musical program, car show, children’s activities, food specialties and Sunday shopping.

Each year on the second Sunday in September, Berglangenbach holds its annual farmers and arts and crafts market. For the 17th year, the village that belongs to the Baumholder Union Community will be the stage for about 100 regional farmers and vendors Sunday.

The world’s biggest wine fest, Duerkheimer Wurstmarkt, will start today. Bad Duerkheim, along the German Wine Street, will host this traditional fest and lure about 600,000 visitors from all over the world.
