Participants of the Unit Movement Officer Symposium visit the Ramstein Passenger Terminal Sept. 15. The symposium served as refresher training for all Unit Movement Officers throughout U.S. Army Europe. The purpose of the four-day symposium was to familiarize all UMOs with proper rules and regulations for preparing cargo and equipment prior to shipping through Ramstein.

Maj. Gen. Duane A. Gamble, commanding general of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command (left photo), and Brig. Gen. Jon T. Thomas, 86th Airlift Wing commander, receive their annual flu vaccinations. According to the U.S. Army Public Health Command, the flu virus strikes 5 to 20 percent of the U.S. population and claims 36,000 lives yearly. Vaccination opportunities are being offered by various medical agencies throughout the KMC. Personnel should check with their medical personnel or primary care provider for times and locations.

Along with the chili cook-off, attendees enjoyed a day full of activities including face painting, games, sports, arts and crafts and hay rides.
