21st Theater Sustainment Command Public Affairs
The last 22 Abrams main battle tanks assigned to U.S. Army Europe armored combat units began the final portion of their journey back to the U.S. at the 21st Theater Sustainment Command’s Theater Logistics Support Center-Europe railhead March 18 to 20 in Kaiserslautern.

This man, U.S. Army Chaplain (Capt.) Father Emil J. Kapaun (pronounced K-pawn), will be awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously April 11. According to the U.S. Army, Kapaun’s extraordinary courage, faith and leadership inspired thousands of prisoners to survive hellish conditions, resist enemy indoctrination and retain their faith in God and country.

This award is a way of recognizing the outstanding performance of 86th AW command post-emergency actions controller, Airman 1st Class Brandon Tiffany. Tiffany has been the wing staff Airman of the quarter, led four training briefings, and taught 17 Airmen four different training plans and upgrade requirements.

The Air Force released its plan March 28 to implement force structure changes mandated by the Fiscal Year 2013 National Defense Authorization Act.
The bill authorized the service to complete actions approved in previous years, such as aircraft retirements, and directed execution of Congressionally approved force structure actions.

Staff Sgt. Suzanne Butler, USAFE-AFAFRICA commander’s support staff technician, earned this achievement for her professionalism and excellence while on the job.
