Ramstein swept a double-header against Lakenheath Saturday. They won 16-9 and 17-4. Victoria and Jessica Apodaca were the winning pitchers.

Boys’ Soccer
The Kaiserslautern Raiders started their season with an 8-0 loss to Heidelberg Saturday. Sophomore Sean Kerber netted a hat trick for Heidelberg.

Track and field
The following Ramstein athletes placed first at the Heidelberg track meet Saturday. Boys were Marquiston Showers (High Jump), Parker Cowles (3,000, 1,500 and 800 meter), Brennon Relaford, James Hamlett, Alex Burgess and Ben Eller (4×400 Relay) and Noah Sheppard, Parker Cowles, Danny Edwards and Ben Eller (4×800 relay).

Girls were Krissy Grosselin (800 meter), Krissy Grosselin, Lorraine Tucker, Luz Hamlett and Sarah Billiar (4×800 relay) and Crystal Richardson, Krissy Grosselin, Luz Hamlett and Crystal Stainrod (4×400 relay).

The following Kaiserslautern athletes placed first at the Brussels track meet Saturday. Boys were Jamal Anene (800 and 1,500 meter), Julian Smalls (high jump), Gregory Persley (long jump and triple jump), Brian Hill (shot put), Tucker Johnson, Jamal Anene, Steven Burnett and Gregory Thompson (4×3,200 relay), Chris Ferguson, Quintin Strawder, Gregory Thompson and Julian Smalls (4×1,600 relay)

Girls were Lynndsey Hyter (long jump, 300m hurdles, 200 meter), Dekia Moore (shot put and discus), Teena Robinson (100 meter hurdles) and Janay Crump, Britanny Smith, Shondrika Harvey and Mandra Smith (4×1,600 relay).
