***image1***Frequent visitors to Ramstein’s East Gate are doubtlessly familiar with German state road L369, better known as Mackenbach Road. Due primarily to the extraordinarily rugged condition of the road surface, the posted speed limit is 30 kph. According to the 435th Civil Engineers Squadron, a road reconstruction project is tentatively slated to begin following the World Cup this summer.
