First sergeants’ corner

I recently had a chance to speak with FTAC students, which I was totally amazed by.
The question had come up about volunteer opportunities.
I was elated to explain that this is the land of opportunities to
volunteer.
I further mentioned of some of those opportunities, such as the youth programs, chapel, Airman & Family Readiness Center, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, CASF, and so on.

But I had to slow down my excitement and explain that not only is it appreciated for anyone to volunteer their time and commitment, it is a part of mentorship as well as being a great ambassador for the Air Force.
I found out that many of the FTAC students had already volunteered their time in the community.

Many things do not get done in our community without the hard work, sweat and tears of our volunteers. So what are you waiting for?
