Members of the 86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron conducted a training opportunity March 6 while flying over Germany in a C-130J Super Hercules belonging to the 37th Airlift Squadron. This training opportunity tested flight nurses and aeromedical evacuation technicians with varying scenarios that can be faced by aircrew during a mission.

Challenges included a simulation to restrain a noncompliant and suicidal passenger as well as performing potentially lifesaving operations on lifelike training dummies. The 86th AES is responsible for providing aeromedical evacuation for U.S. service members throughout U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa’s area of responsibility and operate in a multitude of air frames and conditions.
