***image1***The intramural softball playoffs continued this week and at press time the bracket was down to the final two teams.

This week’s games started Monday and the bracket was reduced to four teams by Tuesday.

Once down to four teams the bracket switched to a double-elimination format.

The first game of the final four was between 32 AOS and U.CSS. Arguably the best game of the playoffs thus far, 32 AOS won in the final inning 17-16.
435 MUNS followed with a 10-9 win over 723 AMS.

Wednesday’s games started with 435 MUNS taking on 32 AOS for a spot in the championship game.

435 MUNS won 20-5 and 32 AOS was sent to the losers bracket.
In the other losers bracket game, U.CSS snuck by 723 AMS with an 18-17 victory.

This set the stage for 32 AOS and U.CSS playing for the other spot in the championship.

The game turned out to be a laugher with U.CSS shutting out 32 AOS 16-0.
This set up the championship match between 435 MUNS and U.CSS, which was held Thursday night at the Ramstein Northside Field.
Check next week for the results of the championship game.
