The Ramstein Royals boys varsity basketball team fell a little short in their season opener at Wiesbaden. The Royals trailed 41-30 at halftime and could never recover.

The Kingfish once again traveled to Brussels and competed against the NATO Marlins and GK Orcas Saturday. The swimmers were motivated and ready for the challenge. The Orcas had a very strong team winning the tri-meet with 56 swimmers to the Kingfish 27, less than half the team. However, this did not deter the Kingfish.

The Annual Turkey Trot hosted by the U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern Sports and Fitness Branch was held Nov. 19 at Rhine Ordnance Barracks. There were 96 runners and one dog. Despite the cold weather and icy conditions, the sun was shining and the runners were all in good spirits. The winner, Robert Arsenarlt, finished in a time of 16:49. The fastest female runner was Joy Hruskka with a time of 18:17. Vogelweh had the largest number of participants for the second year in a row.
